Portfolio wedding photography Poland

Ela and Timon from the Netherlands married in April 2024 in the Polish city of Wrocław. They asked me as their photographer to capture the different parts of their wedding day. It was an adventurous assignment, as I traveled overland by train from Brussels to Poland with my photography equipment. During this event, I portrayed the official ceremony and party.

The images you see on this page were taken around 7 p.m. on the Rynek, Wrocław’s main square. Because of its pastel-colored houses and architecture, this is a great place to take wedding photos.

These images were taken with a Canon RF 24-70 mm f2.8 lens, which is a light-sensitive zoom lens. The houses, which you see in the photos are rebuilt monuments. In particular, the gates, doors and salmon-colored facade of City Hall were a beautiful backdrop.

A very cool assignment to do: not only did I make people happy with a photo series of their wedding party, but I was also able to work as a photographer during a wedding party in another European country.

Ela and Timon, thank you for the fantastic assignment, it was my pleasure!

This is what Ela and Timon say about me:

“We were eager to get a complete picture of our wedding in Wrocław, Poland. That expectation was very much realized!”

“Following things we appreciated the most during the cooperation: the much time and attention that went into the detailed preparation, the active thinking and doing during the event and the active involvement in the editing afterwards.”

“We describe Jochem as eccentric, friendly, thoughtful and as ‘The dancing photographer’*. And whether we would recommend him to other people? Definitely, because of the guidance in the whole process from beginning to end and of course because of the quality of the photos.”

– Ela and Timon, The Netherlands

*During the party I danced along while photographing. Participating myself makes it even easier for me to move among the dancers to photograph.
